Beacon Planning secures expansion of specialist local business in historic barns in South Cambridgeshire.
20 December 2016 | Posted by Charmain Hawkins

Planning permission and listed building consent have been secured to allow an existing specialist scientific business to expand in South Cambridgeshire village.

Permission has been granted for a specialised company assembling scientific instruments to expand at their premises near Cambourne. The company is of international importance with links to Cambridge University and provides local employment. The scheme converts a former barn, with authorised use as a holiday cottage, into additional floor space for the business to expand. The proposal makes good use of the former agricultural buildings on the site. Professor Cowburn who is Director of the company and lives at the site is delighted to secure the permission.
