Beacon Planning Ltd working in conjunction with Nick Baker Architects have secured planning permission and listed building consent to improve the sixth form area at Haileybury College by securing an extension to existing historic buildings on the site.

Beacon Planning Ltd have helped Haileybury College to secure permission for improved facilities for the sixth form at the heart of the existing school. The extension to the Grade II* Listed Grubber Building will enable an enlarged sixth form area to be created including a careers section.

The location of the proposed extension is within the Major Development Site within the East Hertfordshire Local Plan allows for extensions to the college within the Green Belt within certain parameters.

Pre application consultation with both Historic England and the Local Planning Authority was favourable and this enabled the formal applications to be determined within the statutory period.

The college were delighted with the decisions.
