Planning permission and listed building consent have been secured to convert an adjoining barn to form part of the existing Grade II listed dwelling. The scheme secures the long term future of the barn. The clients are delighted as a previous proposal relating to the barn was unsuccessful.
Planning permission and listed building consent have been secured to convert a historic barn into part of the Grade II listed dwelling. This will secure the long term future of the barn and enhance its appearance, particularly to the garden elevation. To the street side the building will be largely unaltered aside from a replacement roof covering. The conversion scheme was designed by Snell David Architects ( http://www.snell- david.co.uk/) with structural advice from AFP ( http://afpconsult.co.uk/ ). Beacon Planning Ltd assisted by providing the Heritage Statement in which a detailed justification in support of the proposals was set out. A previous proposal submitted by a different owner/design team was refused so the Statement sought to demonstrate how the previous reasons for refusal had been addressed. The clients are delighted with the securing of the permissions.
