Beacon help ascertain status of possible curtilage listed building.
20 September 2016 | Posted by Emma Sharp

Beacon Planning have helped a new owner of a building in Hertfordshire determine that it is not curtilage listed.

Beacon Planning were originally instructed to produce a heritage statement in support of proposals for this curtilage listed building. However, delving into the details we began to question the status of the building. We helped the client put together a case that it was not curtilage listed which the local authority accepted.

The client stated that: "Beacon planning's heritage services provided easily understandable advice about the complex issue of listed building status and the requirements of planning authorities. With their help it was possible to resolve a major planning issue and to move forward with submitting our development plans for approval."
