Beacon Planning Ltd is a dynamic, independent, award-winning heritage and planning consultancy based on the edge of the historic town of Cambridge. We have a wide ranging portfolio of projects across the breadth of the historic environment, with clients including many of the Cambridge Colleges, the University of Cambridge and the National Trust.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated Heritage Consultant who shares our passion for the historic environment and can flourish as part of a supportive, friendly and hard-working team.

The role will be to support the heritage team in the preparation of Heritage Statements, Design and Access Statements, Conservation Area Appraisals, and other such planning documents through undertaking desk based and archival research along with site visits. Depending on experience, you will also input to the reports, provide expert advice to clients and the design team, and liaise with local planning authorities and other bodies throughout the planning process.

Experience of planning is desirable but not essential. Applicants should be working towards gaining full membership of the IHBC.
