Granta Park Phase 2 given the go ahead
7 September 2015 | Posted by Joanna Burton

Phase 2 of Granta Park has been granted consent by South Cambridgeshire District Council Planning Committee with a resounding 11 members voting in favour of the scheme with one abstention.

Plans drawn by up Eric Parry Architects, Gensler and Todd Longstaffe-Gowan have been approved to provide circa 55,000 square metres of research and development space at Granta Park, centred around an extensive landscaping scheme which will feature a new lake at the centre.

The development site is located to the south of Grade II* listed Abington Hall and associated Repton landscape, and to the east of the listed South Lodge. Beacon Planning were instructed to advise on the heritage impacts of the proposed development and prepared a heritage statement to support the planning application. Work will start on site next month, with a completion date set for June 2017.
